12-Step Groups
Often people with an addiction feel that they are alone. They often feel embarrassed and ashamed and want to help themselves. They have often made several attempts at trying to control their addiction. If they are addicted it is quite clear to everyone around them that they have lost control and need help. Help involves others. The person with the addiction must finally admit to himself that he needs help.
